What Is Solid Plastering?
Solid plastering is the traditional method of rendering a wall using multiple coats of a sand-and-cement mix applied directly onto brick, block or masonry. Unlike thin acrylic or polymer coatings, solid or cement plastering builds up a genuinely solid, dense layer typically 15–20mm thick that adds real structural strength as well as a smooth or textured finish.
It’s the render system most associated with classic Sydney homes, and it remains the preferred choice where maximum durability, fire resistance and weatherproofing matter most.
